Undergraduate students who are eligible for recommendation for exemption from the postgraduate entrance examination and intend to apply for postgraduate study at our university under this scheme are invited to complete the pre-registration via the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU) Pre-registration System for Recommended Exemption Postgraduates.
I. Basic Application Eligibility
Be a 2026 cohort regular full-time undergraduate graduate and be expected to obtain the qualification of recommended exemption postgraduate from the undergraduate institution.
Possess potential for scientific research and a strong sense of innovation.
Have good moral character, sound physical and mental health, and no disciplinary penalties during undergraduate study.
II. Majors for Admission

The official 2026 Postgraduate Admission Catalog released by the Graduate Admissions Office of the Graduate School shall prevail.
III. Admission Plan
The number of recommended exemption postgraduates to be admitted by our school shall not exceed 50% of the annual admission plan in principle; the actual admission number shall be subject to the final confirmed enrollment.
Information on the enrollment majors and supervisors can be inquired on the university faculty homepage or the official website of the School of Management.
IV. Application Procedures
1. Pre-registration Period
9:00 on September 3 – 24:00 on September 14
Applicants shall log in to the NWPU Pre-registration System for Recommended Exemption Postgraduates (https://yjszs.nwpu.edu.cn/pp/#/exam-free-apply/master/declare/200875/index) for online pre-registration. Each applicant is limited to one application choice.
2. Interview Notice from the School
The school will conduct a preliminary review of the registration information in batches, determine the interview shortlist, and issue interview notices to eligible applicants.
3. Interview Participation
Relevant interview information will be notified separately. The school will confirm the proposed admission list after the interview.
Materials to be submitted for the interview:
Undergraduate academic transcript and comprehensive evaluation transcript (with the official seal of the academic affairs department of the university or school/faculty);
Academic and research achievements (published papers, monographs, etc.) and award certificates;
Proof of foreign language proficiency (transcripts of CET-4, CET-6, TOEFL, IELTS, PETS, etc.);
Certificates of participation in social practice, public welfare programs and other relevant activities;
Other supporting materials that reflect the applicant's academic ability and comprehensive quality.
4. Official Registration via the MOE System
After the Ministry of Education (MOE) opens the National Recommended Exemption Postgraduate Registration System, applicants who have passed the pre-registration interview and been proposed for admission must log in and register on the system, and fill in the application choice according to the major offered by our school. Our university will issue interview notices via the MOE system at that time, and priority will be given to applicants who complete the registration first. Those who fail to fill in the application choice in accordance with the offered major or complete the admission confirmation within the specified time will be deemed to have voluntarily abandoned the qualification.
5. Registration for Non-pre-registered Applicants
Applicants who do not complete the pre-registration may register via the MOE National Recommended Exemption Postgraduate Registration System after its opening. The school will organize interviews based on actual circumstances.
V. Other Provisions
Any applicant found to have engaged in fraud, violated admission regulations, or committed improper acts involving academic misconduct, professional ethics breaches, or dishonesty will have their qualification of recommended exemption postgraduate immediately revoked upon verification, and the case will be reported to the applicant's undergraduate institution. After the proposed admission list is confirmed, our university will collect information on the applicants' actual performance to further review their ideological and political quality and moral character.
The disciplines listed in the recommended exemption postgraduate information collection system are mainly the disciplines for 2025 recommended exemption admission of our university, which is for information collection only. The 2026 disciplines for recommended exemption admission shall prevail as per the published 2026 Postgraduate Admission Catalog, and the final admitted discipline and major shall be subject to the confirmation via the MOE National Recommended Exemption Postgraduate Registration System.
In case of any inconsistency between the content of this notice and the documents issued by the competent educational authorities, the documents issued by the competent educational authorities shall prevail.
