The School currently hosts several specialized research institutions, including the Western National Defense Science and Technology Industry Development Research Center under the Ministry of Education's "985 Project" for Philosophy and Social Sciences Innovation, the Shaanxi Key Research Base for Philosophy and Social Sciences—the Shaanxi Military-Civilian Integration Collaborative Innovation Research Center and the Shaanxi Disruptive Technology Innovation and Development Strategy Research Center, the Shaanxi Soft Science Research Base—the Shaanxi Military-Civilian Integration Development Strategy Soft Science Research Base, along with multiple university-level research platforms. These entities conduct research and provide services in fields such as national defense science and technology, military-civilian integration, disruptive technologies, emergency management, design management, and sustainable operations.

We have undertaken numerous national and provincial-level projects and achieved significant results. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan period, we have secured 2 major projects and 3 key projects under the National Social Science Fund, 1 key project and 39 general and youth projects under the National Natural Science Fund, 9 annual and post-award projects under the National Social Science Fund, and over 90 provincial and ministerial-level funding projects. Additionally, we have received 2 awards for Outstanding Achievements in Higher Education Institutions from the Ministry of Education and over 20 provincial-level scientific research awards. Nearly 200 high-quality academic papers have been published, and more than 30 high-level academic monographs have been released.

We actively promote industry integration and conduct scientific research collaborations. Together with the China Eastern Airlines R&D Center, we established the "Joint Science and Technology Innovation Workstation for Air Transport Management Science." Additionally, we have initiated multiple horizontal collaborative projects with entities such as the China Eastern Airline Technology Application R&D Center Co., Ltd., Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd., China National Nuclear Corporation, and China Aero Engine Corporation, fostering industrial integration and the practical application of research outcomes.
