Experimental Teaching Center at School of Management

Northwestern Polytechnical University has been engaged in management education since the establishment of the Industrial Enterprise Management Teaching and Research Office in 1957. In 1984, the China Equipment Management Training Center was established, followed by the establishment of the Department of Management in 1985. In 1990, the Department of Management and the China Equipment Management Training Center merged to form the School of Management, with the laboratories of both entities being merged as well. In May 2006, this laboratory was rated as a university-level management experimental teaching center, and in May 2015, it was designated as a Shaanxi Provincial Management Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center.

The Management Experiment Teaching Center comprises the Aerospace System Intelligent Management and Fusion Innovation Laboratory, Big Data Analysis and Management Laboratory, Intelligent Management Simulation Laboratory, Digital and Intelligent Management Simulation Laboratory, Digital and Intelligent Finance and Accounting Laboratory, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Seminar Room, and Team Laboratory. The center not only undertakes experimental teaching tasks for undergraduates and postgraduates in the School of Management, but also opens its doors to teachers and students across the entire university, providing an experimental platform for students to train their management experiment skills and conduct scientific research.

To support and manage experimental teaching and research, the center has established multiple first-class platforms, including a big data-driven intelligent decision-making and control integration development platform, an intelligent financial cloud experiment platform, a Puhua project management comprehensive experiment platform, and a digital and intelligent enterprise management experiment platform. Currently, the center boasts over 500 sets of various hardware and software equipment, with a total asset value exceeding 8 million yuan and a total area of 1670m². It has become an important base for talent cultivation in relevant majors of management disciplines in the school.

In recent years, the center has been offering over 20 experimental courses annually, encompassing more than 90 experimental projects, with an annual experimental teaching man-hour count reaching 22,000. It has consistently contributed to the development of management disciplines and talent cultivation at the school.
