The School of Management (SOM) at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) maintains two postdoctoral research stations in "Management Science and Engineering" and "Business Administration", along with first-tier doctoral programs in these disciplines and corresponding master's programs. SOM offers professional master's degree programs including the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), Master of Engineering Management (MEM), and Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc). At the undergraduate level, it provides five programs: Business Administration, Marketing, Information Management and Information Systems, Accounting, and Engineering Management.
Currently, the school employs over 140 faculty and staff members, including over 90 full-time faculty members, among whom are over 10 national-level talents and over 10 provincial and ministerial-level talents. Adhering to its educational philosophy centered on student cultivation, academic excellence, and social responsibility, the school implements a talent cultivation model that emphasizes both professional competence and comprehensive quality development. Its alumni network includes numerous industry leaders and pivotal figures across various sectors.

The School is dedicated to innovation in management theory and its application in practice. In recent years, the school has achieved significant academic recognition including 3 National Teaching Achievement Awards, 3 provincial-level teaching awards, 1 national first-class course and 4 provincial first-class courses. Faculty members have secured over 70 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation and National Social Science Foundation, including 3 major NSFC projects and 2 key NSSFC projects. SOM received 2 Outstanding Research Achievement Awards (Humanities and Social Sciences) from the Ministry of Education for higher education institutions, 1 First Prize for Outstanding Research Achievement from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and over 30 provincial-level scientific research awards as the first completed unit. Faculty have contributed to major national strategic projects including the C919 large aircraft program, Shenguang-III laser facility, and next-generation fighter jet development through management consulting services.

Actively engaged in global collaboration, the school joined the Alliance of Chinese and European Business Schools (ACE) as founding member in 2013, obtained EFMD membership in 2014, and joined AACSB as a member in 2019.
