On the afternoon of November 6, the 12th Management Science Culture Festival of the university grandly opened on the Chang'an Campus. With the theme of "Digital Intelligence Empowers, Value Coexists", this year's festival integrates the characteristics of management disciplines with the "Second Classroom". It is committed to enabling the School of Management to contribute more wisdom to the cultivation of top-notch and innovative "Chief Engineer - type" talents at the university.

Present at the opening ceremony were Guan Jun, Deputy Director of the Department of Student Affairs of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office; Xie Dan, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Public Policy and Management; Yu Peng, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Microelectronics; Liu Chenyi, Deputy Secretary of the University Youth League Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department; Feng Shuo, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Mechanical Engineering; Wang Rong, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Educational Experiment / School of Future Technology; Che Ada, Dean of the School of Management; Zhang Shuang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management; Guo Yuntao and Jia Ming, Vice Deans of the School of Management; Wang Haixiao, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Management; Li Chenglong and Hong Zhaofu, Assistant Deans of the School of Management; Nayi Li, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Management. They were joined by more than 200 representatives of teachers, postgraduates and undergraduates from the School of Management. The opening ceremony was hosted by Wang Haixiao.

In his speech, Che Ada reviewed the school's achievements in discipline development, scientific research and talent training in recent years, and elaborated on the overall considerations behind organizing the Management Science Culture Festival. He noted that the rapid advancement of technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and blockchain has been profoundly reshaping the management ecosystem and development pattern. He expressed the hope that through this festival, an open, interactive and cutting-edge communication platform for the "Second Classroom" would be built. It is expected to help students understand how data reshapes management logic, drives organizational transformation, and achieves value co-creation. He also hoped that students would spark innovative inspiration through the collision of ideas, enhance their professional competence through practical exploration, and further strengthen the coordination and complementarity between the "First Classroom" and the "Second Classroom".

On behalf of the Department of Student Affairs of the Party Committee, Guan Jun extended warm congratulations on the successful opening of the Management Science Culture Festival and announced the launch of the 12th Management Science Culture Festival of Northwestern Polytechnical University. He commented that the Management Science Culture Festival is a distinctive event of the School of Management, which has injected more management elements into the "Second Classroom" for talent training. He urged the school to continue to be guided by the "Chief Engineer Talent Cultivation Culture", give full play to the characteristics of its disciplines and majors, keep building the "Second Classroom" into a brand activity, and further strengthen its support for the university's cultivation of top-notch and innovative "Chief Engineer - type" talents.

Nayili introduced the overall arrangement of this year's Management Science Culture Festival. Centering on the talent training objectives of the "Second Classroom", the school will actively organize a series of activities. These include the Postgraduate Academic Annual Conference, the "Knowledge and Practice Lecture Hall", the "School of Management Youth Talks", the "Famous Enterprises Visit" practical activities, the "Power of Role Models" youth story sharing session, the "Climbing Program" for innovation and entrepreneurship project incubation, the Project Management Case Analysis Competition, and the College Students' Career Planning Competition. These activities are designed to enrich the content of the "Second Classroom" and facilitate the cultivation of "Chief Engineer - type" talents.

After the opening ceremony, Jia Ming delivered a report titled "Carbon Neutrality: The Transformation and Development Path for Chinese Enterprises" to the teachers and students. Starting from the current situation and policy background of national carbon management, he conducted an in-depth analysis of the great significance and five major difficulties in carrying out corporate carbon management. He also systematically presented the five - dimensional evaluation CROCS model based on "carbon commitment, carbon reduction, carbon offset, carbon communication, and carbon stimulation", its indicator system, as well as the achievements of carbon management evaluation on listed companies over five consecutive years. The content of the report closely aligned with the national "dual carbon" strategic demands and the academic frontier of corporate carbon management, which greatly aroused the students' interest and enthusiasm. After the report, teachers and students engaged in a lively Q&A session focusing on topics of their interest.

The leaders and guests present also viewed the exhibition of the School of Management's "Second Classroom" achievements on site. Many students passing by stopped to browse the various achievements on display and took part in interesting interactive activities, such as financial knowledge quizzes, management history quizzes and career personality tests.

As a signature event of the School of Management, the Management Science Culture Festival not only undertakes the functions of promoting management culture and demonstrating the school's educational achievements, but also plays a positive role in enriching students' "Second Classroom" experience and improving the effectiveness of talent training. Covering multiple dimensions including academic exchanges, practical experience, innovation and entrepreneurship incubation, and career development, this year's festival has added more management elements to the "Second Classroom".
