Grasp the construction of academic atmosphere and do a good job in academic analysis and judgment

On weekdays, Teacher Li attaches great importance to students' academic responsibilities and strengthens the construction of academic atmosphere. He has invited the class committee and student representatives multiple times to hold special seminars on the construction of academic atmosphere, analyze the situation of academic atmosphere, sort out problems based on the actual situation of different classes, and formulate and implement implementation plans for academic atmosphere construction.

In order to help students better understand professional knowledge, Teacher Li provides academic guidance and assistance through peer teaching. He invited outstanding students to serve as student lecturers and conducted more than 30 review and explanation classes for courses with high difficulty and pressure. The content of nearly ten courses of advanced mathematics, linear algebra, operations research, intermediate financial accounting and other courses has been launched on the official account of "Gua Da Guan Yuan" (now the official account of "the voice of the management of the University of Technology") and the column "Microclass" on the platform of "Guan Shi Er" station B, with a cumulative broadcast number of more than 2000, which is very popular and loved by students. It is an online learning garden for students outside the teaching of teachers.

After the release of student grades, Teacher Li will immediately conduct sorting and analysis. Before the summer vacation of 2019, Teacher Li asked each student to submit an annual summary plan. During the summer vacation, he spent more than two weeks reading each student's summary plan, providing feedback and suggestions for nearly 150 summaries one by one, and giving recognition to students who made progress; Advise and guide students with unsatisfactory grades.

It is precisely these efforts that led to an increase of nearly 2 points in the average credit accumulation of the 2018 class led by Teacher Li compared to the same period in 2017. Two classes were awarded the title of "Advanced Class" in the 2018-2019 academic year (out of a total of four in the entire college), and one Youth League branch was cultivated and created as the first batch of "Provincial University Youth League Building Model Branches".

Organize and lead innovation and entrepreneurship, be the "guide" for students

Teacher Li always believes that innovation and entrepreneurship are effective ways for college students to improve their overall quality and achieve comprehensive development. Therefore, he actively organizes and guides innovation and entrepreneurship practice activities to exercise students' practical and applied thinking. He actively mobilizes students to participate in various innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, and does a good job in service guarantee. Teacher Li invited expert teachers to provide comprehensive training and experience sharing on innovation and entrepreneurship competitions for students, allowing professional guidance teachers to oversee and guide students' innovation and entrepreneurship projects.

In the past two years, the School of Management has made significant improvements in both the number of participants and the quantity and quality of awards in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. In the recent 18th "Sanhang Cup" competition, the management school team won a total of 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes, and 14 third prizes, which is the best result in recent years.

Make friends with life and grow together

在李老师眼中,辅导员与学生是亦师亦友的关系,也是相互成长,相互成全的过程。他乐于走近学生,积极和学生互动交流。

在线下,李老师平均每周至少进一次宿舍,热心参与学生的各种活动,向学生传递支持和鼓励。他尽心关心爱护学生,陪伴生病学生在医院度过若干个夜晚,成为学生最重要的可信赖的依靠;他积极参与“三航杯”足球赛、晨跑等,身体力行,贴近与学生的交流,用实际行动做好带动引领。

在线上,学生群里李老师始终是活跃的一份子。李老师从不放过学生(群)中的任何一条消息,从未错过任何一个学生的问题,对于学生的困惑给予最及时的解答,帮助学生实现合理需求。

完整经历过一年新生辅导员工作后,在2019年7月至10月间,李老师听从学院安排,还兼任了2019级本科生年级辅导员。同时带领两个年级很不容易,但李老师依然在辅导员岗出色地完成了迎新工作。

求真务实,学工科研两手抓

On the premise of ensuring the orderly development of student work, Teacher Li does not stop his research and continues to engage in research in quality management and quality engineering. In the past two years, I have led one National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Project and published three SCI indexed academic papers as the first author, one of which was published in the flagship journal "IISE Transactions" in the field of industrial and systems engineering.

After reaching the age of thirty in the position of counselor, Teacher Li said that although counselor work is trivial, it is all important work related to students. Since you choose to do it, you must do it with dedication. He believes that counselors should play the roles of preachers, lamplighters, and ferryman for students, "never forgetting their original intention and keeping their mission in mind", sticking to their love and waiting for the flowers to bloom.

Now that his two-year term as a counselor has come to an end, when it comes to his expectations for students, he said that this is also his expectation for himself, the school, and the college: success does not have to be in me, and skills will not be donated.

Director Li has always been a person who is rigorous and meticulous in his work. Every time I ask Director Li for his opinions on an article, he will seriously provide fair and objective suggestions, and point out my questions to the point, patiently proposing revision suggestions. We all know that the job of a counselor is not easy. Once, Director Li replied to me after 1am with a very small question that I had even forgotten about. This makes me feel that Director Li always takes us to heart, and every word we say will be remembered by Director Li. Director Li's sincerity and care, as well as his serious attitude towards everything, have also motivated me to complete every task well in my studies and life, and achieve satisfactory results.

Since September 2018, Teacher Li has been serving as our counselor. As an ethnic minority student, we may encounter many problems in our studies. After understanding the actual situation, Teacher Li patiently provided us with help and invited a mentor to explain to us at any time. We take good care of our minority students in all aspects and encourage us to participate in various competitions. As the homeroom teacher of our class, Teacher Li checks our class's early clock in status every day, no matter how busy he is with work, and carefully reads the weekly report we submit. When we encounter difficulties, Teacher Li will promptly help us solve them. Over the past two years, Teacher Li has patiently taught us. Thank you very much, Teacher Li!

When I first met Director Li, this young and vibrant counselor had no airs among the students, and there was no generation gap in their interactions and communication. The emojis they sent were all on the forefront of hot topics, and many new internet terms were even understood earlier than me. What impressed me the most about this neighbor's elder brother was his attention to details and the care he showed in small things. Most of us are visiting university campuses far away from home for the first time, and every reunion festival, Director Li would express his feelings in his own way. Last Mid Autumn Festival, Director Li bought mooncakes from his own pocket for the two grades of students he was responsible for at that time. He is a counselor, a teacher, a psychological counselor around us, and a caring big brother. Thanks to two years of experience, I have come to understand how excellent people approach their work and every little thing around them. This is the outstanding personality charm of Director Li.

Basic Introduction:

Li Chenglong, with a PhD degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University and City University of Hong Kong (joint PhD program), joined the School of Management at Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2018 as an associate professor and started working in the Department of Management Science and Engineering.

Since June 2018, I have become one of the first F1 counselor teachers in the School of Management, mainly responsible for the grade work of undergraduate students in 2018, as well as special work such as academic atmosphere construction and innovation and entrepreneurship.
