On March 24, 2021, the People's Government of Shaanxi Province issued the Decision of the People's Government of Shaanxi Province on the 2020 Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards. In accordance with the provisions of the Measures for Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards, the awarded achievements were announced after being reviewed by the respective professional evaluation panels of the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards, examined and verified by the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Award Committee, and deliberated at the executive meeting of the provincial government. The project Theory and Methods of Seru Production, led by Professor Liu Chenguang from the School of Management, won the Second-Class Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. The project Multi-dimensional Interaction Between Technology, Economy and Environment: Research on Internal Mechanisms and Evaluation Methods, led by Professor Cai Jianfeng, and the project Semantic Recognition-based Intelligent Retrieval System for IETM in the Aviation Manufacturing Field, led by Professor Xue Jianwu, respectively received the Third-Class Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.

A total of 262 projects (and individuals) were honored with the 2020 Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards, including 3 recipients of the Shaanxi Provincial Top Science and Technology Award, 48 first-class awards, 90 second-class awards, 122 third-class awards, and 2 recipients of the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award.
