On April 16, 2020, the People's Government of Shaanxi Province issued the Decision of the People's Government of Shaanxi Province on the 2019 Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards. In accordance with the provisions of the Measures for Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards, the awarded achievements were announced after undergoing review by the respective professional evaluation panels of the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards, examination and verification by the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Award Committee, and deliberation at the executive meeting of the provincial government. The project Research on Influencing Factors and Decision-Making Methods of Emergency Decision-Making Under Unconventional Emergencies, led by Professor Yang Naiding from the School of Management, won the Second-Class Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award.

A total of 263 projects (and individuals) were honored with the 2019 Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Awards, including 3 recipients of the Shaanxi Provincial Top Science and Technology Award, 48 First-Class Awards, 89 Second-Class Awards, 122 Third-Class Awards, and 1 recipient of the International Science and Technology Cooperation Award.
