Recently, the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology announced the evaluation results of the 2020 Shaanxi Provincial Natural Science Basic Research Program Projects. Our school has secured approval for a total of 10 projects of various types, including 6 General Program Projects and 4 Young Scientists Projects, with the direct funding for these projects exceeding 300,000 yuan. The number of approved projects hit a record high, marking remarkable achievements.

Basic research is the foundation of science and the source of innovation. It constitutes an important component of a country's core competitiveness and serves as the fundamental path to enhance the capacity for original innovation. The school has always regarded basic research as the core of its development, encouraging and guiding faculty members to actively engage in basic research work.

The remarkable achievements of the school in the Shaanxi Provincial Natural Science Basic Research Program Projects this year are the result of the joint efforts of all faculty members. Going forward, the school will continue to improve the organization and evaluation of applications for various scientific research projects, further enhance the quality of scientific research, strive to boost the comprehensive scientific research strength of the school, promote the construction of research teams, give full play to the leading and supporting role of basic research, and contribute to the university’s "Double First-Class" initiative.
