On July 22, 2025, Professor Qin Hu from Huazhong University of Science and Technology was invited to deliver an academic lecture titled "Artificial Intelligence Technology and Industrial Applications" in Lecture Hall 214 of the School of Management. The lecture was chaired by Professor Li Jiliu of the School of Management, and was attended by some faculty members and graduate students of the school.

At the beginning of the session, Professor Li Jiliu briefly introduced Professor Qin Hu's academic background and major research achievements. Subsequently, Professor Qin explained the basic concepts and core elements of artificial intelligence. Drawing on his own research and practical experience, he focused on sharing two technical approaches for solving optimization problems in typical scenarios such as smart manufacturing and supply chain optimization, and also presented a related analysis of the AI industry landscape.
In the final part of the lecture, Professor Qin outlined typical cases of AI in practical applications from the perspectives of perceptual intelligence and decision intelligence. By referencing his involvement in corporate projects, he provided an in-depth analysis of the difficulties and challenges faced by operations research optimization algorithms in the industrial implementation of decision intelligence. After the lecture, Professor Qin engaged in a lively exchange and discussion with the attending faculty and students on future research directions in AI and the pathways for implementing algorithms in industrial applications. The entire lecture was rich in content, well-received, and the atmosphere was highly interactive.
