On July 1, 2024, at the invitation of the School of Management, Professor Guo Rui from Jilin University delivered an academic report entitled China’s Sustainable Security Strategy in Lecture Hall 214 of the School of Management. The session was hosted by Professor Zhu Yuming of the School of Management and attended by some faculty members and students of the school.
Professor Guo Rui first introduced the changes and characteristics of the current international security situation, then analyzed the prevailing international landscape and examined the issue from various perspectives. He further assessed the future trend of the international security situation, arguing that the restructuring of major-country relations presents a pattern of "pairing up" rather than "bloc formation", and that regional security hotspots show a state of "interconnectedness" yet will not spiral out of control.
