To further improve the quality of the School's national fund applications for the year, the 2024 National Fund Project Proposal Seminar of the School of Management was held on January 4 at Youyi Campus in accordance with the 2024 work plan for national fund applications of the School. The seminar was divided into two disciplinary groups: Management Science and Engineering and Business Administration. Professor Che Ada, Dean of the School of Management; Professor Dang Xinghua from the School of Economics and Management, Xi’an University of Technology; Professor Jia Ming, Vice Dean of the School of Management; and Professor Liu Shan, Vice Dean of the School of Management, Xi’an Jiaotong University, served as on-site review and guidance experts respectively. Nearly 20 faculty members of the School who intended to submit fund applications participated in the seminar.

The participating applicants focused on reporting their proposed research directions and current writing ideas. The experts conducted one-on-one exchanges and guidance, carefully reviewing each application from the perspectives of research orientation, framework, content, feasibility, innovation, and expected outcomes. Combined with the alignment with national strategies, the experts accurately analyzed the existing problems in the applications and put forward targeted suggestions for the faculty to further refine the application content and enhance the overall quality of the proposals.
The seminar featured a strong academic atmosphere and lively discussions, with all participating faculty members reporting substantial gains. This fund application guidance session not only improved the quality and standard of the School’s fund applications, but also provided valuable insights for the faculty’s future research directions and academic development. Going forward, the School will proceed with the follow-up work of this year’s fund application process as scheduled, to effectively elevate the quality of the final submission documents.
