On January 17, 2026, at the invitation of the School of Management, Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor Shi Xianwei from Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, delivered an academic report entitled "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystems and Case Studies of Chinese Firms" in Lecture Hall 214, School of Management, Chang'an Campus. The report was hosted by Associate Professor Zhang Ying. More than 40 participants, including faculty, doctoral students, postgraduate students and some undergraduates majoring in Business Administration and Strategic Management, attended the event.

During the lecture, Professor Shi systematically elaborated on the theoretical construction and practical implications of his representative research. He first reviewed the nine-year research journey from conception to publication of his first paper in the Academy of Management Journal (AMJ), vividly demonstrating the patience, rigor and academic resilience required for qualitative research. Drawing on his case study of ByteDance, he then analyzed how firms in the digital era can break the traditional trade-off between diversification and scaling up through "artificial intelligence plus adaptive organizational design". In the final part, Professor Shi discussed strategic paths for innovation among Chinese enterprises in the AI era and proposed directions for future research.
After the presentation, Professor Shi had an in-depth discussion and exchange with faculty and students on the lecture theme. The academic atmosphere was vibrant, offering participants insights with both theoretical depth and practical value.
