The Management Case Study and Development Center was officially established in late 2017. Its core mission is to focus on empowering discipline development, deepening the integration of teaching and research, and cultivating high-level talents, with the core positioning of building a trinity management case ecosystem of "theoretical exploration - case development - talent cultivation".

The main undertakings of the center currently include: first, devoting itself to academic research and teaching application of management cases, promoting the in-depth integration of case teaching and professional curriculum systems; second, conducting management case development and construction to empower teachers and students to develop various management cases in fields such as business administration and engineering management; third, organizing students to participate in various levels of management case competitions to effectively enhance students' practical abilities.

Since its establishment, the center has continuously promoted the orderly development of various case-related work and achieved remarkable results. It has enhanced teachers' internal motivation for case development and teaching through policy guidance, curriculum optimization, and social practice, driving the transformation of teachers' teaching from "knowledge transmission" to "capacity cultivation".

Focusing on the incubation and development of high-quality cases, the center guides teachers and students to pay attention to academic frontiers and industry practices, and actively participate in domestic and international excellent case selection activities including the "National 100 Excellent Management Cases" selection. At present, the university has become one of the top universities in China for management case development.

As of September 2025, thanks to the efforts of the center, the school has accumulated 64 cases selected into the "National 100 Excellent Management Cases" and 4 excellent teaching cases in engineering management. One case has been included in the Harvard Case Library, 3 cases in the China Professional Degree Case Center, 165 cases (including those in the National 100 Excellent Management Cases) in the China Management Case Sharing Center, 1 case in the Shaanxi Provincial Professional Degree Graduate Teaching Case Library, and 3 cases in the China Business Administration Case Library, forming a multi-level and widely covered case achievement matrix.

In the "Excellent Developer" Case Competition of the China Business Administration Case Center, the school has won 2 second prizes and 4 third prizes. The center has also been awarded the Best Organization Award in the "National 100 Excellent Management Cases" selection and the Best Organization Award in the China Postgraduate Engineering Management Case Competition for many consecutive years.
