I. School Introduction

Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) is located in the city center of Grenoble, France, with campuses in Paris, Tbilisi, Singapore and other cities. Founded in 1984 by the Grenoble Chamber of Commerce and Industry, GEM features technology and innovation as its educational strengths. It is a key member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE) and the Conférence des Directeurs d’Écoles de Management Françaises (CDEFM).

GEM consistently ranks among the world’s leading business schools in authoritative rankings such as the Financial Times and QS. Its Master’s programs in Finance, Management, Marketing and Executive MBA are frequently listed among the global top 50 in business-related subjects.

GEM is also among the fewer than 1% of top business schools worldwide that hold the “Triple Crown” international accreditations: AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS.

II. Program Overview

This program is open to all current postgraduate students at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU).

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded master’s degrees from both NPU and GEM. For details, please refer to the attached program brochure.

  • Program Duration: Study at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France, starting in the Fall 2026 semester.

  • Teaching Language: English

III. Program Advantages

Postgraduate students in relevant majors may directly apply for GEM’s one‑year master’s degree programs.

Students changing majors may first apply for the pathway program, and those admitted will receive priority conditional offers from GEM.

The pathway program accepts CET‑4/6, IELTS, TOEFL and other English certificates. Through a blended online + offline teaching mode, students who finish the pathway can directly apply for all 17 one‑year Master of Science (MSc) programs at GEM across different disciplines.

IV. Eligibility

  1. Full‑time first‑year postgraduate students at NPU.

  2. The program is open to all majors university‑wide (for details, please consult the program coordinator).

  3. Cumulative average score of completed courses: ≥ 75%.

  4. Good English proficiency:

    • Passed CET‑4/6 or the program’s internal English test;

    • Applicants for GEM Master’s in Finance must provide a scanned GMAT/GRE score report.

V. Timeline

  1. Application Deadlines:

    • Round 1: December 20, 2025

    • Round 2: March 31, 2026

  2. Pathway courses start: January or April 2026

VI. Application Documents

  1. Completed program application form (select 1–2 master’s majors);

  2. Scanned undergraduate and postgraduate transcripts (Chinese & English, with official university seal);

  3. English proficiency proof:

    CET‑4/6 (for Pathway A), IELTS, TOEFL, etc.

    GMAT/GRE is required for Finance applicants;

  4. Scanned ID card (both sides);

  5. Scanned passport information page (for French visa);

  6. Other visa documents (details from program coordinator).

VII. Admission Process

  2. Background review

  3. Joint interview by NPU and GEM

  4. After passing the interview:

    • Pathway A students: receive pathway offer + GEM conditional admission

    • Pathway B students: receive GEM official admission

  5. Pay program fees

  6. Visa counseling (French visa: ~2 months)

  7. Pre‑departure preparation

  8. Study in France
