To strengthen ideological guidance for college students and enhance the 2025 freshmen’s understanding of the development of the Communist Party of China and the Communist Youth League organizations, the School of Management held two enlightenment education sessions for undergraduate freshmen. All 2025 undergraduate students attended, and the events were hosted by counselor Guan Linfei.

On the evening of September 2, a lecture on Party membership enlightenment was held at the Circular Lecture Hall of the School of Management, given by student affairs secretary Zhang Mengyu. Starting with the basic situation of undergraduate Party building in the school, she elaborated on a number of measures taken by the Party Committee of the school in organizational support, team building and incentive mechanisms, emphasizing the strict implementation of the selection rules for active Party members and development targets. She introduced the specific procedures for joining the Party in detail and reminded students to pay attention to the relevant materials and timelines in the process of Party member development. By displaying the Party membership flowchart and the list of Party member archive materials, she helped students gain a more intuitive understanding of the whole process of Party member development.

On the afternoon of September 11, a lecture on League membership enlightenment was held in Classroom C2-201, West Teaching Building, given by Nayili Kurban, Secretary of the Youth League Committee. He interpreted the specific indicators and requirements for League member development, stressing that the work of developing League members prioritizes quality, focusing not only on academic performance but also on comprehensive performance in ideological morality, social practice and voluntary services. Combining flowcharts and cases, he explained in detail each step from submitting a League membership application to becoming an official League member. He reminded students to focus on daily accumulation, strictly discipline themselves according to League member standards, and take an active part in voluntary services, club activities and social practice.

The two lectures improved freshmen’s understanding of the basic knowledge and development procedures of the Party and the League, laying a solid foundation for the school to further promote the development of Party and League members. Students said that in their future study and life, they would strictly abide by the bottom line of discipline, firm their ideals and beliefs, actively practice the school motto of "Public Integrity, Courage, Perseverance" with concrete actions, and strive to draw closer to the Party and League organizations.
