On the afternoon of June 19, Zhang Shuang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management, delivered the "Last Lecture" to the 2024 undergraduate graduates, themed "Striving to Be 'Chief Engineer-Type' Talents in the Management Field, Letting Youth Bloom Brilliantly Through Unremitting Struggle". The event was presided over by Wang Haixiao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School. Bai Jie, Assistant to the Dean, counselors of the graduating class, and all undergraduate graduates attended the event.

Zhang Shuang led all the graduates to review the development history of NPU — from its origin of three sources and strong alliance, to its spirit of taking root in the west and forging weapons for the country. She affectionately reviewed the university’s development, its spiritual characteristics and striving goals, and encouraged all graduates to "set great aspirations, stand on great stages, join the main battlefields, and undertake great causes".

She also led the students to review the development of the School, shared its values and mission, and guided graduates to love and honor the university and the School.

She hoped that all graduates would establish great aspirations, cultivate great sentiments, master great capabilities, shoulder great responsibilities, and practice great virtues.

Based on her own life experience and insights, she urged all graduates to do the following three points in their new life chapter:

First, learn to love: cherish life, cherish themselves, care for parents and family, love the Party and the country.

Second, after entering society, first do not underestimate yourself; second, be down-to-earth, responsible, committed, passionate and broad-minded.

Third, strive to be upright and virtuous people with both integrity and ability in society.

She wished them to work hard and unremittingly in their new positions. She wished all graduates smooth sailing, happiness and health in their new posts, and encouraged them to come back often.

Afterwards, Zhang Shuang awarded honorary certificates to the outstanding 2024 undergraduate graduates, and Bai Jie presented graduation souvenirs to the graduates.
