On June 28, the 2024 Summer Social Practice Launch Ceremony & Safety Education Conference of the School of Management was held in Lecture Hall 214 of the School Building. Wang Haixiao, Deputy Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, Nayili, Secretary of the School Youth League Committee, supervisors of the School’s 5 social practice teams, and more than 30 student representatives attended the event, which was presided over by Nayili.
At the beginning of the meeting, Nayili introduced the key points of social practice from four aspects: the overall thinking of social practice, changes in orientation, practice requirements, and safety matters. He mentioned that the number of teams funded by the university has changed, and the School strongly supports social practice projects. He urged students to cherish this hard-won opportunity, pay attention to all key nodes of social practice, and make advance arrangements for critical milestones.
During the presentation session, Nayili introduced the practice plan of the Sunshine Project team he supervised. Gong Xue, supervisor of the "Marching Towards Mountains — Carrying Forward the Red Legacy through Practical Research and Publicity" team; Li Hengyu, supervisor of the "Technology Promotes Development, Management Shapes the Future — Visit to Innovative and Entrepreneurial Enterprises" team; Guo Limin, supervisor of the "Yunguo — Innovators of Adoption Models to Boost Rural Prosperity" team; and Zhang Mengyu, supervisor of the "Colorful Zhangye — Journey of Cultural and Tourism Integration" team, respectively introduced the practice content and overall arrangements of their respective teams.
Wang Haixiao, Deputy Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, put forward three requirements for all students participating in the practice. First, he hoped that students would firmly establish the safety-first mindset, fully recognize the risks of going out, and ensure their personal safety. In addition, supervisors should accompany the teams throughout the process, prepare safety plans in advance, and respond to natural disasters and other accidents. Second, he required all social practice teams to make full preparations, including advance time planning, itinerary arrangements, and contact with practice units, and transform practice achievements into support for achieving the long-term goals of the projects. Third, he hoped that students would be down-to-earth, prudent in words and deeds, pay attention to their behavior, learn modestly from practice partners, seize this valuable practice opportunity, fulfill their responsibilities, receive education, develop abilities, and make contributions in practice, demonstrating the style of youth and the spirit of NPU.
This Summer Social Practice Launch Ceremony & Safety Education Conference strengthened the practice goals of students receiving education through dedication, developing abilities through responsibility, and making contributions through practice. It strengthened the students’ original aspiration of measuring every inch of the motherland with their own steps and listening attentively to the voices of the people across the country. It encouraged students to keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s instructions, forge ahead bravely, and strive to be dream-chasers in the new era.
