On March 17, Qiao Caiyan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Management, made a special trip to Chang’an Campus to express condolences to the student affairs staff working on the frontline of epidemic prevention and control, and inspected the implementation of prevention and control measures. A student affairs symposium was also held in Room 231 of the School of Management to discuss the student work of the School for this year.
Present at the symposium were Qiao Caiyan, Secretary of the Party Committee; Wang Zhaoxu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Bai Jie, Assistant to the Dean; counselors Wu Bei, Feng Hua, Wang Juan, Nayili, Yuan Yuan; and student affairs secretary Zhang Mengyu.

At the symposium, Secretary Qiao Caiyan first expressed gratitude to the student affairs staff for their dedication and hard work. She urged everyone to adhere to the requirements and arrangements of epidemic prevention and control, put students at the center, earnestly fulfill their duties, and ensure the safety of all students.
Afterwards, Secretary Qiao Caiyan conducted an in-depth inquiry into the living and learning status of students at all grades and the special work undertaken by each teacher. The participating student affairs staff shared their views and suggestions on specific issues including daily student management, academic atmosphere construction, ideological and political development, Communist Youth League construction, labor education, student scholarship and assistance system, psychological counseling, student Party member development, innovation and entrepreneurship, and other fields. The symposium was held in a warm atmosphere, with all participants speaking freely and exchanging ideas fully.

The symposium focused on the current problems and difficulties in student work, and explored innovative ideas and effective measures for the development of student affairs in the School. After listening to the speeches, Secretary Qiao Caiyan fully affirmed the hard work of all student affairs staff during the epidemic prevention and control period, and responded to the questions and suggestions raised one by one.
She emphasized that student work should focus on details, improve the working mechanism, promote aesthetic and labor education, and support the well-rounded development of students morally, intellectually, physically, aesthetically and laboriously. She also reminded student affairs staff to strengthen coordination, set clear goals, and work together to improve the quality of student work in the School.

This symposium further boosted the enthusiasm of the participating teachers for student work and injected vitality and motivation into the development of student affairs. All participants stated that they would resolutely implement the work arrangements of the School, work together to further improve the quality of student training, promote the all-round development of students, and cultivate socialist builders and successors with well-rounded moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic and labor development.
