To further enhance the quality of project management education and promote the alignment of talent cultivation with international standards, the PMI-GAC (Project Management Institute Global Accreditation Center) reaccreditation on-site visit was successfully held at the School of Management, Northwestern Polytechnical University from April 28th to 29th, 2026. The on-site visit expert panel was chaired by Professor Ding Ronggui from Shandong University, with members including Professor Jiang Zuhua from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Associate Professor Li Ming from Hohai University. The three experts conducted a comprehensive and in-depth review and evaluation of the teaching quality, student development, and support and assurance systems of the project management-related programs at the School.

On the morning of April 28th, the on-site visit officially commenced. The meeting was chaired by Shao Jing, Director of the International Accreditation Office, and attended by all members of the School of Management's leadership team. Zhu Jihong, Dean of the Graduate School of the university, and Meng Zhongjie, Deputy Director of the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office, delivered remarks respectively, extending a warm welcome to the expert panel and expressing the university's high regard for project management education accreditation. Professor Ding Ronggui, chair of the review panel, introduced the work plan and key evaluation points for the on-site visit. Che Ada, Dean of the School of Management, reported on the overall development of the School. Program director Ou Lixiong gave a detailed presentation on the overall program design and curriculum system, and Wang Haixiao, Deputy Party Secretary of the School, provided a detailed report on the School's overall student affairs work. The expert panel raised in-depth questions based on the presentations and engaged in discussions with School faculty on topics such as teaching philosophy, curriculum development, and quality assurance.

In the afternoon, the expert panel visited the Chang'an Campus, where they toured the university's large aircraft exhibition and the laboratories of the School of Management to review the teaching resources and research environment. Afterwards, the panel held separate symposiums with undergraduate and graduate student representatives to hear their direct feedback on curriculum design, teaching support, practice opportunities, and other aspects. Subsequently, the panel convened a document review meeting to carefully examine project operation-related documents, teaching archives, student outcomes, and other materials.

On the morning of April 29th, the expert panel organized in succession a faculty representative symposium, a symposium with undergraduate and graduate alumni representatives, and a symposium with industry (employer) representatives. Faculty members from the teaching front line, alumni from various cohorts, and employer representatives engaged in candid exchanges on topics including talent cultivation quality, graduates' career development, and university-industry cooperation, providing the expert panel with multi-dimensional evaluation information.

In the afternoon, the expert panel convened a closed-door meeting to conduct an internal review and summary of the two-day visit. Subsequently, they provided feedback to the School's leadership team and core faculty members. Speaking on behalf of the panel, Professor Ding Ronggui affirmed the achievements of the School in project management education and offered constructive suggestions for continuous improvement. Che Ada, Dean of the School of Management, program director Ou Lixiong, Vice Dean Guo Yuntao, and other faculty members attentively listened to the feedback and expressed their gratitude to the expert panel for their diligent work and professional guidance.
The successful completion of this PMI-GAC reaccreditation on-site visit fully demonstrated the educational strength and international vision of the School of Management at Northwestern Polytechnical University in the field of project management. The School will take this accreditation as an opportunity to seriously incorporate the panel's suggestions, continuously improve the project management talent cultivation system, further enhance the level of program development, and contribute more outstanding talents in service of the national strategy and industry development.
