On April 24th, the School of Management held a special working meeting on AACSB International accreditation in the second conference room of the International Conference Center on the Youyi Campus. The meeting specially invited Professor Kwei Tang, an authoritative expert and accreditation mentor from the AACSB International Business School Accreditation Committee, to visit and provide guidance. Lv Weidong, the executive deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Northwestern Polytechnical University, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Che Ada, the dean of the School of Management, Zhang Shuang, the secretary of the Party Committee, members of the leadership team, and department heads participated in the meeting. Shao Jing, the assistant dean and director of the Accreditation Office, presided over the meeting.

At the meeting, Lv Weidong delivered a speech, stating that the school attached great importance to the construction of the School of Management and the development of liberal arts, and provided multi-departmental collaborative support in international accreditation , aiming to enhance the level of internationalization and education quality through accreditation . He pointed out that accreditation was the key to aligning with world-class business schools, attracting talents, and deepening international cooperation, and looked forward to Professor Kwei Tang's guidance and assistance in guiding the school towards the goal of becoming an internationally renowned research-oriented management school.

Che A-da introduced the resume of Professor Kwei Tang, the accreditation mentor. Professor Kwei Tang was once a tenured professor at Purdue University and possesses accreditation experience from multiple top business schools. Subsequently, he comprehensively reported on the progress of AACSB Accreditation work. The college initiated the Accreditation process in 2019 and has now passed the EA review (2021), initial self-assessment (2023), and the first round of update report (2024). It is planned to complete the second report review in 2025 and apply for on-site visits in 2026-2027. The college has reconstructed its strategy and training system with a "mission-driven" approach, established a domestic and international Accreditation exchange platform, and established and improved the AoL course quality assurance mechanism, including curriculum map updates, teacher training, and information technology construction. It also promotes continuous improvement through multiple rounds of inter-school research and seminars. He stated that the entire college will reach a consensus, take this meeting as a starting point, and meet challenges with innovative ideas and pragmatic actions, demonstrating the college's determination and action to benchmark international standards.

Finally, Professor Kwei Tang provided specialized guidance. By combining global accreditation cases, he put forward strategic suggestions such as optimizing the governance system, strengthening the assurance of learning quality (AoL), and deepening industry-education integration, thus providing a clear path for the accreditation work. He also further clarified the accreditation process, explained the requirements of the accreditation standards, and provided tips on writing AACSB series reports.
After the meeting, Professor Kwei Tang and the faculty members of the college conducted in-depth discussions on key aspects of the accreditation standards, exchanging opinions and suggestions on topics such as curriculum internationalization and enhancement of scientific research influence, which further clarified the action framework for internationalization construction.

As an important milestone for the college towards AACSB International accreditation, this conference, through expert guidance and internal collaboration, has injected new momentum into the AACSB accreditation work of the School of Management. In the future, the School of Management will continue to deepen the "mission-oriented" educational model, improve the sustainable improvement mechanism; accelerate the internationalization of faculty, build a high-level teaching and research team; construct a global cooperation network, enhance the international influence of disciplines; strengthen social service functions, and demonstrate the responsibility of business education. The college will strictly follow the AACSB accreditation standards, solidly promote various construction tasks, and strive to successfully pass the on-site visit and achieve good results.
