Business School of Hohai University Visited the School of Management for Research and Exchange

To further deepen university cooperation and exchanges, enhance inter-school friendship, and promote the high-quality development of the two schools, a forum was held between the School of Management and the Business School of Hohai University at 9:30 a.m. on November 11 in Meeting Room 308, School of Management, Youyi Campus, Northwestern Polytechnical University.

A five-member delegation from Hohai University Business School attended the forum, including Zang Dexia, Assistant Dean and Director of the International Accreditation and Quality Improvement Office; Qiu Yan, Director of the General Office and Deputy Director of the Accreditation Office; Associate Professor Lu Chao from the Department of Marketing; Teacher Zhang Xu from the Department of Management Science and Information Management; and Accreditation Specialist Li Yi. Representing the School of Management were Shao Jing, Assistant Dean and Director of the International Accreditation Office; Zhai Run, Director of the General Office; and Ma Xiaoke, International Accreditation Assistant. The forum was hosted by Shao Jing.

At the outset of the meeting, Shao Jing extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Hohai University Business School. She provided a comprehensive overview of the school’s development history, faculty team, discipline development, talent cultivation, and scientific research, with a focus on sharing the school’s experience in pursuing AACSB international accreditation in recent years.

Subsequently, Zang Dexia introduced the basic background of Hohai University Business School, including its historical evolution, program offerings, and faculty composition. She also highlighted the challenges currently encountered in the school’s pursuit of AACSB international accreditation and the research purposes of this visit.

During the exchange session, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on issues including AACSB international accreditation work, faculty development, the compilation of Initial Self-Evaluation Report (iSER) and update reports, and the informatization of student data management. Both parties unanimously agreed that obtaining international accreditation can not only comprehensively elevate the internationalization level of the schools’ disciplines, but also improve their governance systems, governance capabilities, and social influence in an all-round way.

This forum has established a sound collaborative communication mechanism between the two schools, deepened university cooperation and exchanges, and strengthened inter-school friendship. It will help both parties better grasp their development strategies and the development trends of business education, laying a more solid foundation for their respective AACSB international accreditation endeavors in the future.
