The Project Management Institute (PMI) is one of the most influential international professional organizations in project management. Its mission is to advance the scientization, professionalization, and globalization of project management, raise the awareness and recognition of the value of project management among organizations worldwide, promote the development of professional project management education and its application, and help organizations achieve better performance. The institute has developed a global accreditation system for project management degree programs and established the Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC). As a world-leading academic accreditation body, GAC is committed to driving the advancement of global education. Based on internationally recognized standards in the academic field of project management, it conducts an objective and comprehensive evaluation of project management degree programs. In mainland China, our university ranks among the only 9 institutions holding PMI-GAC international accreditation, together with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Hohai University, Shandong University, Tianjin University, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

Under the strategic guidance of internationalization initiatives, the School of Management attaches great importance to international exchanges and cooperation, commits itself to international accreditation work, and strives to cultivate new-type talents with international competitiveness. In 2013, the four degree programs of the School of Management obtained the initial PMI-GAC accreditation, and in 2022, they successfully passed the five-year reaccreditation. This achievement demonstrates that the education quality of the four project management degree programs of the School of Management has been aligned with the international advanced level. It also reflects the School’s implementation of the strategy for cultivating international talents and ushers in a new phase of building world-class disciplines.
