To further advance the AACSB international accreditation work of the School of Management, a 7-member delegation from our school—including Chen Lin, Vice Dean; Shao Jing, Assistant Dean and Director of the Accreditation Office; faculty representatives; and staff in charge of accreditation work—visited the School of Management of Xi’an Jiaotong University for accreditation research on April 9. The research visit was hosted by Tian Jun, Vice Dean of the School of Management of Xi’an Jiaotong University; Shu Chengli, Assistant Dean; Sun Fubin, Director of the AACSB Office; and other teachers responsible for the relevant work.

Tian Jun extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the accreditation process and the recently launched reaccreditation work of the School of Management of Xi’an Jiaotong University. Chen Lin outlined the current stage of our school’s international accreditation efforts, and Shao Jing presented the progress of the ongoing AACSB work and the challenges encountered. Sun Fubin focused on sharing the specific practices of Xi’an Jiaotong University in AACSB accreditation, covering aspects such as the establishment of degree learning objectives for the Assurance of Learning (AOL) curriculum system construction, selection of core courses, formation of curriculum teams, and faculty classification methods in the accreditation process. He also provided solutions to the problems encountered during the process and put forward practical and pertinent suggestions for our school’s accreditation work.

The purpose of our school’s application for AACSB international accreditation is to further enhance the overall development level of the school and boost its international reputation. Through this research visit, our school will earnestly learn from and draw on the successful experience and good practices of the School of Management of Xi’an Jiaotong University, sort out the ideas for our AACSB accreditation work, adjust and optimize the details and processes of the accreditation work, and formulate a more reasonable and school-specific work plan. This will provide an effective and feasible basis for the next phase of our school’s accreditation work and accelerate the progress of our AACSB international accreditation efforts.
