From May 22 to 23, Shao Jing, Assistant Dean of the School of Management and Director of the International Accreditation Office, led a delegation to the School of Management of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics to attend the Business School Accreditation Seminar hosted by Blackboard Shanghai Institute. On the morning of May 22, Professor Chen Song from the School of Management of Tongji University delivered a presentation themed "Strategic Planning and Management for AACSB Accreditation". During the subsequent one and a half days, all participating faculty members engaged in "Experience Sharing and Discussion on AACSB Accreditation", conducting in-depth discussions on key issues such as formulating strategic plans based on institutional missions in accordance with AACSB requirements, developing appropriate strategic plans tailored to multiple internal and external factors of the school, and conducting regular review, revision and management of such plans.
From May 24 to 25, the research team conducted research and exchange on AACSB international accreditation work at the School of Management of Beijing Institute of Technology, the Business School of University of International Business and Economics, and the Business School of Central University of Finance and Economics.
The delegation led by Shao Jing briefed the counterparts on the progress and current status of the international accreditation work of their school. They held in-depth exchanges and discussions with Zhang Xiang, Vice Dean of the School of Management of Beijing Institute of Technology, Li Suyi, Director of the Development Planning and Quality Accreditation Center, and the relevant faculty members in charge; Qin Luohan, Director of the Accreditation Office of University of International Business and Economics, and the relevant faculty members in charge; as well as Lin Song, Dean of the Business School of Central University of Finance and Economics, Jiang Feng, Vice Dean, and Guo Xiaokun, Director of the International Cooperation Office. The discussions focused on the establishment of AACSB Assurance of Learning (AOL) objectives, the design of the overall AOL assessment mechanism, and the faculty incentive and review mechanisms in the AOL process.
Modern higher education should continuously open up to the outside world and accelerate the internationalization process. As a world-renowned accreditation for business education at the global level, AACSB accreditation is highly recognized worldwide. The School of Management aims to promote its development through accreditation, continuously improve its learning assurance system. This research trip has provided strong basis and support for the next stage of the school’s international accreditation work.
