During her four years as a homeroom teacher, Teacher Xu Yan always focused on her job, worked diligently, thought what students thought, and was eager to meet their needs.

1. Based on one's own position, be a close "guide" for students in their college life.
As the most intimate "guide" during the life of college students, the homeroom teacher plays a crucial role in the comprehensive development of students, and possessing qualities such as political strength, professional competence, strict discipline, and upright work style is the key to the homeroom teacher's work. During her tenure, Teacher Xu Yan firmly grasped the three principles of moral education, convincing people with reason, and moving people with emotions. Adhere to a student-centered and goal oriented work approach. Firstly, being a college student with dreams, responsibilities, and accountability is the direction she focuses on guiding in her conversations with students. Secondly, she focuses on students' core values and encourages comprehensive development. From knowledge supplementation to practical exercise, from habit cultivation to character cultivation, for her, everything is self indulgence. Every class meeting, every visit, and every clarification are also her diligent witnesses. Finally, as a reward for the progress made by the students of Qiongyao, she also gained a great sense of happiness from it.

2. Devote oneself wholeheartedly to accompanying and supporting the growth and success of students in the class throughout the process.
Over the past four years, Teacher Xu Yan has accompanied her students from young and adorable newcomers to seasoned "Jianghu children", from inexperienced children to independent adults. She has witnessed every moment of transformation for each student. From the initial adaptation period, to professional learning, corporate internships, and finally to the special graduation season of 2020. Along the way, she did her best to integrate Eastern and Western educational concepts, assisting students in smoothly completing the value realization and development process of self-awareness, self-development, and self exploration. In the end, Teacher Xu Yan also formed a relationship with her students that was both a teacher and a friend, as well as a close and familiar bond.
Basic Introduction:
Xu Yan, Associate Professor, has led a class that has won the titles of Advanced Collective and Advanced Youth League Branch for three consecutive years. In 2018, she won the third prize in the Youth League Branch Style Competition of Northwestern Polytechnical University, and in 2020, she was awarded the honorary title of "Excellent Class Teacher" by Northwestern Polytechnical University.
