Abstract of the Research Findings
From a sociotechnical perspective, this study explores how technological components (digital platform empowerment) and institutional components (external government pressure and internal top management support) influence accident prevention performance through multi-level interactions. The results demonstrate that digital platform empowerment enhances frontline employees’ accident prevention capabilities, thereby improving enterprises’ overall accident prevention performance. In addition, the moderating effect of government pressure is contingent on the level of top management support. This study re-examines the application of the sociotechnical perspective in the field of digital safety management and underscores the significance of the integration of technological and institutional components for preventing industrial accidents.
