To enhance teachers' professional competence and ethical attainments, the School of Management invited Professor Wang Jinfeng from Shanghai Maritime University to deliver a keynote lecture entitled The Connotation and Experience of University Teachers' Scholarly Accomplishment – Uphold Justice with a Strong Shoulder, Compose Essays with a Skillful Hand on December 12, 2025. The lecture was hosted by Professor Che Ada, Dean of the School of Management, and more than 30 teachers participated.


Combining her own experience in teaching and scientific research, Professor Wang Jinfeng expounded on the mission and responsibility of university teachers in the new era to "uphold justice with a strong shoulder", and shared the standards and qualities that outstanding university teachers should possess. Taking the craftsman spirit as a guide, she conducted an in-depth analysis of the five basic requirements for an excellent course: meaningful (solid content), efficient (substantial delivery), generative (enriching experience), routine (down-to-earth practice) and improvable (authentic reflection). In the final part, she shared practical experience on how to serve teaching and research to achieve the goal of "composing essays with a skillful hand".
The lecture featured vivid and detailed content with great inspiration, arousing an enthusiastic response from the audience. Participating teachers all stated that through this learning session, they had gained a deeper understanding and reflection on strengthening their personal attainments and the construction of teaching conduct, as well as fulfilling the fundamental mission of fostering virtue through education.

Brief Introduction of Lecturer
Wang Jinfeng is currently a Distinguished Professor at Shanghai Maritime University. She previously served as Dean of the School of Management and Dean of the Institute of Industrial Development, Science and Technology Cooperation at Zhengzhou University. Her main research interests include the theory and application of modern management, and the theory and methods of innovation.
She is a National Distinguished Teacher of the First Batch, a Leading Talent of the National Special Support Program for High-Level Talents, and has served two consecutive terms as Deputy Director of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Industrial Engineering Majors of the Ministry of Education. She also holds positions such as Standing Director of the Chinese Society of Management Science and Engineering, and Deputy Director of the Industrial Engineering Society of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and is a specialist enjoying the Special Government Allowance of the State Council.
She has presided over and participated in 28 national, ministerial and provincial-level projects, winning 3 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 6 third prizes at the ministerial and provincial levels. She has published more than 280 academic papers, 5 monographs, and compiled/co-compiled 5 textbooks. She has also participated in applying for 9 invention patents and more than 60 utility model patents.
