On August 27, Professor Li Dengfeng from the School of Economics and Management, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, was invited to deliver an academic report entitled Multi-factor Variable Weight Comprehensive Method for Risk Level Assessment in Lecture Hall 214 of the School of Management. The report was hosted by Professor Che Ada, Dean of the School of Management, and attended by some teachers and students of the School of Management.

In this academic report, Professor Li Dengfeng first analyzed the conceptual connotation, formation mechanism and evaluation paradigm of grade assessment: he clarified that grade assessment refers to classifying research objects into different grades according to specific criteria to measure their level or status, with its core lying in achieving accurate grading through quantitative analysis based on multi-attribute indicators. Next, Professor Li focused on introducing three multi-factor variable weight comprehensive methods: the multi-factor linear variable weight weighted comprehensive method, the multi-factor variable weight TOPSIS comprehensive method, and the multi-factor variable weight VIKOR comprehensive method. Finally, Professor Li verified and demonstrated the proposed multi-factor variable weight comprehensive methods through a case study of target threat assessment.

During the interactive Q&A session, teachers and students in attendance engaged in a lively discussion with Professor Li Dengfeng on issues such as technical details, practical applications and future research directions in the fields of grade assessment, risk assessment and comprehensive evaluation. This report provided new ideas and insights for teachers and students of the School of Management in the fields of comprehensive evaluation and risk assessment.
