On May 26, 2024, at the invitation of the School of Management, Professor Huang Min from Northeastern University conducted academic exchanges with teachers and students of the school and delivered an academic report entitled Collaborative Operation Management of Platform Logistics Supply Chain—Design of a True Double Auction Mechanism. The report was hosted by Professor Che Ada, Dean of the School of Management, and attended by Professor Liu Sifeng, some young faculty members and graduate students of the school.
At the beginning of the report session, Dean Che Ada introduced Professor Huang Min’s research directions, scientific achievements and academic contributions, and the participating teachers and students extended a warm welcome to Professor Huang Min. In this report, based on his team’s research practice, Professor Huang conducted an in-depth analysis of the core significance of operation optimization for manufacturing systems, supply chain systems and industrial chain systems in the Industry 4.0 era. He also pointed out prospectively that with the advent of the Industry 5.0 era, "collaboration" will become a key issue that cannot be ignored. Subsequently, taking logistics supply chain as the starting point, Professor Huang discussed in detail the development trends of logistics supply chain in the intelligent era, especially the new operation mode of platform logistics supply chain—the sharing mode, and constructed a comprehensive collaborative operation management framework for platform logistics supply chain. Under this framework, Professor Huang presented to the participating teachers and students his team’s research achievements in platform logistics supply chain network design, multi-level path collaborative planning, and logistics supply chain resource matching mechanism considering stability.
At the end of the session, Dean Che Ada made a concise summary of this academic exchange activity, emphasized the importance of combining machine learning technology with operations research and optimization methods, and expressed high expectations for the graduate students of the School of Management.
