On May 26, 2024, at the invitation of the School of Management, Professor Xu Zeshui from Sichuan University delivered an academic report entitled Research Progress of Intelligent Decision-Making in Complex Information Environments in Meeting Room 214. The report was hosted by Professor Che Ada, Dean of the School of Management, and attended by Professor Liu Sifeng, some young faculty members and graduate students of the school. At the beginning of the report session, Dean Che Ada introduced Professor Xu Zeshui’s research directions, scientific achievements and academic contributions, and the participating teachers and students extended a warm welcome to Professor Xu Zeshui.

In the report, Professor Xu Zeshui first introduced the relevant concepts, methods and application scenarios of system management and intelligent decision-making systems. Secondly, he discussed in detail how deep learning and fuzzy systems can be efficiently integrated, and conducted an in-depth analysis of the logical framework of intelligent decision-making. Then, facing the complex and changing information environment, Professor Xu proposed that methods such as intuitionistic fuzzy sets, hesitant fuzzy sets, and probabilistic preference sets can accurately characterize complex cognitive information, and introduced cutting-edge intelligent decision-making methods including dynamic decision-making technology and regression analysis technology. At the end of the report, Professor Xu emphasized that with the continuous changes in the application environment, intelligent decision-making needs to consider more environmental information, which poses new challenges for future research.
After the presentation, Professor Xu conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with the participating teachers and students on the application prospects of methods such as machine learning and fuzzy technology, and the on-site atmosphere was enthusiastic. This academic report not only broadened everyone’s academic horizons, but also provided valuable ideas and inspirations for future research.
