The Emergency Management Research Institute (EMRI) was founded in October 2010. It engages in scientific research, talent cultivation, and social services related to emergency management theories and methods. The institute cultivates doctoral and master's students specializing in emergency management, and also provides advanced training and consulting services for various types of organizations.
Currently, the institute has a team of more than 20 researchers, including 4 professors and doctoral supervisors, and over 10 associate professors. It has also recruited a group of experts and scholars with rich experience in emergency management research and practice as adjunct researchers. Professor Yang Naiding serves as the director.
The institute has undertaken more than 10 national and provincial-level basic research projects, as well as a large number of commissioned research projects from enterprises and public institutions. It has published over 100 papers in domestic and international academic journals, compiled more than 10 monographs and textbooks, and won multiple provincial and departmental-level research achievement awards.
