To ensure proper education for the 2025 undergraduate graduates before their graduation, and to guide them to strengthen their ideals and convictions, foster patriotism, and bravely shoulder the responsibilities of the times, on the afternoon of June 23, Party Committee Secretary Zhang Shuang delivered a speech titled

“Let Youth Bloom Where the Party and the People Need It Most”

as the “Last Lesson at NPU” for all 2025 undergraduate graduates.

Wang Haixiao, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee, all 2025 undergraduate graduates, and some parents of graduates attended the lecture. The event was hosted by Nayili, the counselor for the 2025 undergraduate graduates.

During the lecture, Zhang Shuang reviewed the university’s development history of inheriting from three prestigious origins and achieving strength through integration. She elaborated on NPU’s mission of

“Educating Talents for the Party and Forging Strategic Weapons for the Country”,

introduced a series of important achievements in recent years, and interpreted the “vision, responsibility, and spirit” of Northwestern Polytechnical University.

In line with the university’s long-term goal of “A Global NPU, A World-Class University in Aeronautics, Astronautics and Navigation”, she encouraged all graduates to cherish the patriotism of “caring about the country’s major concerns”, integrate personal ideals into the overall national development, and let youth bloom brilliantly where the Party and the people need it most.

Zhang Shuang then reviewed with the graduates the leapfrog development of the School of Management from its founding to its disciplines being rated as Class A by the Ministry of Education. She presented the school’s vision, mission, and values, as well as its fruitful achievements in talent cultivation, discipline construction, and scientific research in recent years.

She hoped that all graduates would develop a habit of lifelong learning, continuously improve their professional capabilities, and contribute the wisdom and strength of the School of Management to the new journey of building Chinese modernization.

Finally, combining the background of the times and the future development of graduates, Zhang Shuang inspired the students to bravely embrace new opportunities and challenges with the motto:

“Set great aspirations, stand on great stages, join the main battlefields, and undertake great causes”.

She also specially reminded graduates to always be grateful and appreciate the hard work of their parents.

It is hoped that all 2025 undergraduate graduates will keep the earnest teachings of their teachers in mind, inherit the spirit of NPU, bear the motherland in their hearts, bravely shoulder their missions, and write their own brilliant chapters in the great journey of building a strong country and national rejuvenation!
