On May 9, more than 30 teachers and students from the School of Management visited the Geely Auto Xi’an Manufacturing Base as part of the "Visit to Renowned Enterprises" practical series. By visiting well-known domestic enterprises, the activity helps young students gain a comprehensive understanding of management practices in leading enterprises, broadens their overall vision, and supports the cultivation of top innovative "chief engineer-oriented" talents in the management field.

Guided by Geely Auto’s technical experts, the teachers and students visited the three core workshops: stamping, welding, and final assembly. The experts detailed Geely’s innovative approach to reducing costs and improving efficiency through intelligent and automated production lines, including the construction of a full-chain collaboration logic of "equipment–system–data" and the application of 5G plus industrial internet to optimize production scheduling. Real-time interaction between automated guided vehicles and assembly stations was demonstrated on site, directly showing the extreme production efficiency achieved by human-machine collaboration under the "lights-out factory" model.

During the discussion session, students raised questions based on their majors, covering topics such as dynamic scheduling algorithms for intelligent production lines and coupling optimization of multi-energy systems. The two sides had heated discussions on talent demand and management practices in the context of Industry 4.0, digitalization, and artificial intelligence.

This visit strengthened exchanges and cooperation between the university and the enterprise, stimulated students’ interest in the application of intelligent manufacturing and artificial intelligence in management, and guided them to explore how to integrate academic knowledge with enterprise intelligent transformation and industrial development, injecting new momentum into the cultivation of "chief engineer-oriented" talents in the management field.
