To thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC)求是网 and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, further strengthen patriotism education, enhance national defense awareness, and promote Party-building joint construction, on the evening of January 9, economic and management schools of the "Seven National Defense Universities" jointly held a themed activity titled "Inheriting the National Defense Spirit, Building a Strong Country Together". Party member representatives of teachers and students from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin Engineering University, Beihang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and Nanjing University of Science and Technology carried out study and exchange activities through a combination of online and offline methods.

During the activity, representatives from various universities affectionately recounted the exemplary deeds of outstanding CPC members such as Chen Shilu, Yang Shi'e, Feng Yuncheng, and Mao Erke. They reviewed the "Harbin Institute of Military Engineering Spirit" and the glorious journey of predecessors dedicating themselves to national defense, inspiring students to "care about national defense, love national defense, build national defense, and defend national defense", and inject youthful strength into the country's national defense cause.

Zhu Dan from the Sixth Postgraduate Party Branch of the School of Management delivered a vivid micro-Party class titled "A Lifetime of Perseverance — Learning from Academician Chen Shilu's Spirit" to student Party members of the seven universities. Through three chapters: "Faith as Firm as Iron", "Aiming at the Sky", and "Passing the Torch", she led everyone to get close to the life of Academician Chen Shilu, a "Model of Industry and Information Technology". She told the touching story of how Academician Chen deeply integrated his personal ideals with national needs, devoted himself to the aerospace industry, and made brilliant achievements for China's national defense science and technology and aerospace education, profoundly interpreting his sincere loyalty to the Party and the country. Zhu Dan also called on all Party members to take Academician Chen as an example, bravely shoulder the responsibilities of the times, and contribute to the prosperity and strength of the country.
