In the golden October, sweet osmanthus blooms everywhere. The autumn wind blows gently, swirling red leaves all over the sky, yet it cannot fade away the passion and enthusiasm of youth. On October 25, the School of Management held the 2024 Undergraduate Class Style Competition. After nearly a month of careful preparation, students gathered together with great enthusiasm, showcasing the unique charm and style of their classes on stage.
Zhang Yu, counselor for the 2024 undergraduate cohort, Liu Peiran, part-time counselor, Liao Zhiliang, Huang Hao and Zhang Tengyuan, key members of the NPU Students’ Art Troupe, as well as student cadres Qi Rui and Zhang Zongnan from the School of Management served as judges.
The competition was filled with a warm, lively and pleasant atmosphere. All six participating classes elaborately prepared PPTs, comprehensively presenting their class culture construction — from class emblem, flag and uniform design, to the formulation of class rules and mottos, and ice-breaking activities.
The monitor of Class DL082401 introduced that to foster patriotism among classmates, the class had organized a series of themed class meetings entitled "Stay True to the Original Aspiration and Keep the Mission in Mind". Students shared the great achievements of the motherland on stage, expressing their love and best wishes for the country. Finally, the class presentation concluded with the song The Brightest Star in the Night Sky, whose sincere singing touched everyone in the audience.
With the theme "Youth Flourishes at Its Prime, Management Shines with Youth", Class DL082403 presented a vibrant and energetic class image. Dressed in Harry Potter-style "magic robes", the students released the youthful "magic" and vitality through light and cheerful dance steps. While showcasing individual personalities, the presentation also highlighted the warm atmosphere and strong cohesion of the collective.
Class DL082402 performed a self-arranged shadow play Publicity, Integrity, Courage and Perseverance — Passing the Torch, which vividly interpreted the arduous struggle of the university’s senior teachers from zero to one on the road of scientific research. The exploration and reflection on life conveyed between light and shadow resonated deeply with the audience.
Class DL082404 depicted the supportive learning atmosphere within the class in a humorous way. Various activities were held outside of class to strengthen dormitory culture and friendship. The whole class performed a light-hearted and witty dubbed short video, vividly showing the dream-chasing journey of NPU youth, which won laughter and applause.
With the slogan "Strive Forward, a Promising Future Awaits", the ACCA Class of Accounting stepped onto the stage with their ideals. Their unique sitcom performance demonstrated rich imagination and creativity. Fragments of campus life such as League Day activities, themed class meetings and the study of university history outlined the initial development of a new class. The presentation ended with the song My Future, opening a new journey of dream-chasing.
Coming last with the theme "Where the Heart Lies, Steps Never Cease", Class DL082405 presented Dream and Melody by combining dance and recitation. Twenty-one students from all over the country, with twenty-one high-spirited smiling faces and twenty-one passionate hearts, gathered here to strive for their dreams together. They let their thoughts fly and imagined the future, where the word "dream" serves as the spiritual pillar of Class 05, and their vision for the future will forever light up their hearts.
After the competition, Counselor Zhang Yu and Liao Zhiliang, Deputy Head of the Students’ Art Troupe, commented on the performances, affirming the students’ great attention, thorough preparation and vigorous vitality shown on stage.
The successful holding of this Class Style Competition not only enriched students’ after-class life, but also strengthened class cohesion and solidarity. It is believed that in future study and life, students from the School of Management will pursue their ideals with higher morale and firmer faith, and contribute their youthful strength to the building of a strong country and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
