On November 14, according to a letter from The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the School of Management’s Initial Self-Evaluation Report (iSER) for AACSB accreditation was approved by a collective vote of the AACSB Committee. This milestone means that the school has passed the pre-accreditation stage—the most critical phase in the AACSB accreditation application process—marking a major periodic breakthrough and laying a solid foundation for obtaining the final accreditation.

Since passing the Eligibility Application (EA) in November 2021, under the leadership of the school’s administration, guidance from accreditation mentors, and joint efforts of all faculty members, the school has solidly established a "continuous improvement" curriculum quality assurance system and relevant accreditation mechanisms. After repeated deliberations and multiple rounds of revisions, the school finally submitted the nearly 200-page iSER to the International Accreditation Committee in September this year and successfully passed the pre-accreditation review.
Moving forward, the School of Management will continue to benchmark against the standards of top international business schools, emphasize self-assessment, self-improvement and sustainable development. It will pursue continuous enhancements in curriculum development, academic research, faculty development, and cooperative exchanges, to expand the domestic and international influence of both the school and the university, and make thorough preparations for the AACSB initial accreditation and on-site visit.
Relevant Background
AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is the world’s premier non-governmental accreditation body for business schools and accounting programs, and the leading accreditor for academic degree programs (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral) in business administration and accounting. Fewer than 5% of business schools worldwide have earned this elite accreditation. Universally recognized for its unmatched rigorous accreditation system and high standards, AACSB accreditation represents the pinnacle achievement of a business school and serves as a key indicator of world-class business education. The main accreditation steps include membership application, eligibility application, pre-accreditation, initial accreditation, and reaccreditation every five years.
