Recently, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences announced the list of approved major tender projects of the National Social Science Fund of China for 2022. The project Research on the Mechanisms and Paths for the High-Quality Development of Military-Civilian Integration in Emerging Fields (22&ZD069), submitted by Professor Tian Qingfeng from the School of Management as the chief expert, was officially approved.
Centering on the existing problems of relevant entities in emerging fields, such as the lack of endogenous motivation mechanisms, inefficient achievement transformation paths, and insufficient in-depth collaborative technological innovation, the major project approved by Professor Tian Qingfeng constructs a logical analysis framework of "Connotation-Mechanism-Path-Capability" (the CMPC Model). By comprehensively adopting research methods including case studies, empirical research, and simulation, the project designs high-quality development paths aimed at enhancing the transformation capacity, innovation capability, and competitiveness in emerging fields. It is expected to provide decision support for national and local policy formulation, planning compilation, and implementation, as well as offer policy recommendations for the healthy development of related industries.
The research team of this major social science project consists of members from multiple institutions, including the School of Management, the Research Center for Military-Civilian Integration Development Strategy, the School of Public Policy and Management, the Institute of Unmanned Systems Development, and the Research Center for Unmanned Systems Development Strategy of Northwestern Polytechnical University, along with the National Defense University of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the Science and Technology Assessment Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The implementation of the project will provide strong support for the construction of distinctive emerging interdisciplinary disciplines of military-civilian integration at Northwestern Polytechnical University.
The School of Management has secured approvals for major projects of the National Social Science Fund of China for two consecutive years. This marks a new breakthrough in the school’s pursuit of developing new liberal arts disciplines and is the result of the joint efforts of all faculty and staff. Going forward, standing at a new starting point, the school will forge ahead courageously on the path of high-quality development and contribute its share to the construction of the university’s "Double First-Class" initiative.
