To further implement the strategy of strengthening the university through talents in the new era and advance the school’s overseas talent introduction work, the sub-forum of the 14th Aoxiang Young Scholars Forum of Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) hosted by the School of Management was successfully held from November 20 to 21. The sub-forum comprised academic lectures by young scholars, talent policy briefings, and campus visits, attracting nearly 40 young talents at home and abroad to sign up enthusiastically. In the end, seven outstanding young scholars from renowned universities including the National University of Singapore, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Shandong University were invited to participate. The sub-forum was hosted by Li Chenglong, Assistant to the Dean of the School of Management.

On November 20, Li Chenglong provided a systematic interpretation of the school’s talent recruitment policies for the young scholars, and elaborated on the school’s development overview, talent introduction channels, career development paths and academic evaluation system in detail. He stated that the school looks forward to the excellent young scholars joining the School of Management, pursuing in-depth research at NPU, contributing to the high-quality development of the university and the school with passion for undertaking professional endeavors, and jointly drawing a new blueprint for development.

On November 21, the school held an academic lecture session for young scholars to promote exchanges and mutual learning among young talents and stimulate innovation vitality. In the academic lecture session, Liu Yanfeng from Shandong University, Li Yanrong from the National University of Singapore, Liang Jun from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Song Baihe from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Zhu Yanghao from Huazhong University of Science and Technology shared their latest research achievements and academic insights under the titles of Consumers' Use of Errands Services: The Impacts of Service Quality and Consumer Perception, Model-based Prior for Model-free Reinforcement Learning in Process Control: An Offline Methodology for Semiconductor Manufacturing, Customer Referral Reward Program Design on Freemium Platforms: The Role of Consumer Homophily, Enviable Support: How and When Advantageous Voice Endorsement Fosters Employee Silence?, and From Efficiency Tool to Status Symbol: A Study on the Social Evaluation of Generative AI Usage respectively. The school simultaneously organized interviews for faculty and postdoctoral positions, establishing an integrated mechanism of "academic exchanges + talent selection" to improve the accuracy and efficiency of talent introduction and support the school in advancing the construction of its talent team in a high-efficiency manner. In the conference exchange session, Che Ada, Dean of the School of Management, conducted in-depth communication on talent policy issues of common concern to young scholars, and provided valuable suggestions and guidance, with a warm and harmonious atmosphere on site.


After the forum, the school organized the participating scholars to visit landmark campus attractions such as the He Zun Group Sculptures and the outdoor tarmac of the Military Industry Quality Education Practice Center, allowing them to experience the profound cultural heritage of the campus in an immersive way. The participating scholars spoke highly of the forum, believing that it not only facilitated the collision of academic ideas but also enhanced mutual understanding and friendship among them. In the future, the School of Management will continue to expand talent introduction channels, deepen the effectiveness of "attracting talents through academic conferences", focus on breaking through the bottlenecks in the introduction of high-level overseas talents, and empower the high-quality development of the school with talent advantages.
