Editor's Note: The "Top Enterprise Tour" series of practical activities organized by the School of Management aims to help young students establish a three-dimensional understanding of management practices in renowned enterprises by leading them to visit these domestic well-known companies. This series aims to broaden students' comprehensive horizons, facilitate the integration of knowledge and practice, clarify career development paths, and assist in cultivating top-notch innovative talents who can serve as "chief engineers" in the management field.

On October 20th, over 20 teachers and students from the School of Management visited Shaanxi Automobile Holding Group Co., Ltd. for enterprise visits, job exploration, and practical exchanges. They explored the innovation engine of China's high-end equipment manufacturing on-site and decoded the core strength behind technological research and development. Liang Jun, Deputy Director of the Organization and Personnel Department of Shaanxi Automobile Holding Group, and Yang Rubo, Recruitment Manager, warmly received the visiting teachers and students.

At the Shaanxi Automobile Exhibition Hall, the guide deeply reviewed General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his research at Shaanxi Automobile in 2020, demonstrating Shaanxi Automobile's mission and responsibility to stand at the forefront of the times and strive to be a trendsetter in the era. The yellowed notebooks and models of meritorious vehicles in the exhibition hall tell the history of Shaanxi Automobile Group's arduous entrepreneurship, which is in line with the spirit of "forging swords for the country under the guise of anonymity" of Xi'an University of Technology. They are rooted in the northwest hot soil, breaking through the blockade with technological innovation, integrating personal struggle into national strategy, and jointly forging a legend of serving the country through industry.

Upon entering the heavy-duty truck assembly workshop, professional engineers guided the teachers and students to observe the subtle movements of vehicle assembly up close, experiencing the efficient operation of the intelligent production line firsthand. Here, industrial robots, precision robotic arms, and technical personnel collaborate to complete the precise assembly of components; the intelligent system dynamically optimizes production parameters through real-time data streams, ensuring controllable quality and optimal efficiency for each vehicle.

After the visit to the assembly workshop, the teachers and students came to the Tianxingjian Connected Vehicle Experience Center to watch how the Tianxingjian Connected Vehicle System uses millisecond level data collection and AI analysis to build a "digital twin" model of vehicles, covering functions such as condition monitoring, driving behavior recognition, fuel consumption optimization, and fault prediction, intuitively presenting the supporting role of connected vehicles in intelligent transportation. This immersive experience has given students a more three-dimensional understanding of intelligent manufacturing and intelligent transportation, and allowed them to feel China's continuously rising technological strength and innovation capabilities in the global automotive industry.

During the discussion and exchange session, Vice Minister Liang Jun introduced the overall situation of the enterprise, talent recruitment policies, and employee growth system, and welcomed more outstanding graduates from Xi'an Jiaotong University to join Shaanxi Automobile Group. Wang Haichao thanked Shaanxi Automobile Group for its warm reception, introduced the discipline construction and talent cultivation achievements of the college, and expressed his expectation to strengthen cooperation with Shaanxi Automobile in student internships, employment, joint research and development, and other aspects in the future. Students also actively exchanged ideas on industry development trends, vocational ability cultivation, and other issues.

This trip to Shaanxi Automobile has made students deeply realize that China's intelligent manufacturing has moved from "single point breakthrough" to "system innovation", and this leap from "manufacturing" to "intelligent manufacturing" contains the innovative wisdom of national scientific and technological development. In the future, the School of Management will join hands with more "famous enterprises" to lead students into the forefront of intelligent manufacturing in China, witness the globalization of Chinese manufacturing, and inject the wisdom and strength of the School of Management into the cultivation of "chief engineer type" talents!
