To advance the high-quality development of postgraduate education, solicit students' opinions and suggestions extensively, and continuously improve the quality of cultivation as well as the level of management and services, the School of Management held a forum themed "Listening to Students' Voices for Joint Development – Offering Suggestions for the High-quality Development of Postgraduate Education" in Conference Room 212 on the Chang'an Campus on November 11. Relevant school leaders in charge of postgraduate education and student affairs, teacher representatives from the Academic Administration Office and Student Affairs Office, as well as master’s and doctoral student representatives attended the forum jointly. The forum was hosted by Teacher Hong Zhaofu.

The forum focused on three core topics for in-depth exchanges: curriculum cultivation and research practice, academic atmosphere development and construction, and student affairs as well as scholarship and subsidy systems. Student representatives put forward constructive suggestions actively based on their own learning and research experience. They suggested optimizing the content design of academic lectures, adding more postgraduate academic salons to promote interdisciplinary exchanges, and put forward specific opinions on the themes of activities, guest invitation, holding frequency and organizational forms. Doctoral student representatives also proposed improvement suggestions on optimizing the process of the doctoral qualifying examination, strengthening the process management of dissertations and improving the phased assessment mechanism, hoping to further enhance the systematicness and transparency of academic training. In addition, student representatives discussed the organization of class activities, the promotion of class cohesion, career planning and employment guidance, and put forward improvement suggestions on the evaluation criteria, quota setting and coverage of scholarships and grants. Teachers from the Student Affairs Office responded to some issues on the spot and recorded the relevant opinions in detail.

At the end of the forum, Wang Haixiao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, expressed his gratitude to the student representatives for their sincere suggestions. He pointed out that the students' opinions provided an important reference for the school to optimize postgraduate education, and gave positive responses to the issues of common concern to students such as the scholarship and subsidy mechanism, class construction and employment services. Teacher Hong Zhaofu, Assistant to the Dean, stated that the school would take this forum as an opportunity to clarify the direction of improvement, promote the implementation and effectiveness of reasonable suggestions, and effectively improve the quality of postgraduate cultivation and the level of management and services.

This forum built an efficient communication platform between the school and postgraduates, systematically sorted out the key problems and improvement directions in the process of postgraduate education, and provided strong support for the school to implement targeted measures and advance the high-quality development of postgraduate education. In the future, the School of Management will continue to pay close attention to students' needs, promote the implementation of suggestions, constantly improve the cultivation system, optimize the academic ecology and education environment, and support the all-round growth and development of postgraduates.
