From November 7 to 9, the 2025 3rd China Postgraduate Enterprise Management Innovation Competition National Finals concluded successfully in Guiyang. As a national-level competition guided by the Department of Degree Management and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education, sponsored by the Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education and the China Association for Science and Technology Youth Science and Technology Center, and co-sponsored by the National Professional Degree Graduate Education Steering Committee for Business Administration, this year’s competition reached a new high in both competitiveness and participation scale — a total of 411 postgraduate teams from 150 universities across the country took part in the national finals. With solid professional competence and efficient team collaboration, students from the School of Management won a total of 26 awards, and notably claimed the Jianshu Practice Award, the highest honor of Track 2 (only 11 such awards nationwide, with a winning rate as low as 1%). Our university also won the title of Excellent Organizing Unit for the third consecutive year, demonstrating its outstanding strength in talent cultivation.

Focusing on the core challenges of enterprise management in the digital and intelligent era, the competition set up four tracks: the Enterprise Decision-Making Track, the Business Analysis and Practice Track, the Business Administration Case Track, and the Special Track for AI and Digital Technology Application. It put forward higher requirements for participating teams in terms of theoretical application, data insight and solution implementation capabilities. Our school demonstrated strong competitiveness in all tracks and achieved outstanding results across the board. In the Business Analysis and Practice Track, we not only won 1 National First Prize, 5 National Second Prizes and 4 National Third Prizes, but also received high praise from the proposition enterprise for the outstanding practical application achievements of the team Oude Sanxian, successfully seizing the track’s top honor — the Jianshu Practice Award. The team’s supervisor, Professor Lu Tingyu, was also awarded the Excellent Supervisor Award. In the Enterprise Decision-Making Track, we won 1 Second Prize and 5 Third Prizes; in the Business Administration Case and Digital Technology Track, 1 Second Prize and 1 Third Prize respectively; and in the Special Track for AI and Digital Technology Application, 2 Second Prizes and 5 Third Prizes.

Such remarkable achievements are inseparable from the university’s high attention to the competition and the full-chain support from pre-competition preparation to in-competition assistance. The Graduate School and the School of Management of our university made elaborate arrangements and set up a supervisor team consisting of senior professors and industry experts, providing full-process professional guidance for participating students from topic demonstration and plan polishing to mock defense. The university also specially established a Postgraduate Enterprise Management Innovation Competition Studio, which actively organized and coordinated work in terms of mobilization and publicity, guidance and training, mock competitions, expert evaluation, and communication and coordination to serve participating faculty and students, ensuring they competed in the national finals in their best condition.

The China Postgraduate Enterprise Management Innovation Competition is one of the important events in the national postgraduate education field, aiming to stimulate postgraduates’ innovative thinking and practical abilities, and promote the in-depth integration of university postgraduate education with enterprise management practice. Enabling students to combine theoretical knowledge with practical innovation through participating in competitions addressing real enterprise problems is an important approach for the School of Management to cultivate students into innovative talents.
