To encourage young faculty members to actively participate in policy advisory work and improve their skills in drafting policy consultation reports, the 37th Qinghe Salon was held at the School of Management on the Chang’an Campus at noon on April 8. This session focused on enhancing young faculty members’ policy advisory capabilities and featured Associate Professors Lu Tingyu and Zhang Tao as guest speakers to share their experiences. Li Chenglong, Assistant to the Dean, moderated the event, which was attended by more than 20 young faculty members from the school.

Lu Tingyu shared her journey of drafting policy recommendations from scratch. She noted that high-quality policy recommendations are becoming an important avenue for teachers to gain a competitive edge and achieve diversified professional development. Writing policy reports helps teachers broaden their research horizons, moving from micro-level case analysis to macro-level policy thinking, thereby effectively enhancing their policy acumen and ability to identify research topics.
